Boo Crew layout

This was just a quick layout with my boo crew kit, I have all girls so the wild berry is perfect but I wanted a little more variety so I added some lagoon to the mix and it’s a perfect fit.  If you are thinking wild berry isn’t the boy look your going for the wild berry could easily be substituted here with some green apple!  I also added some shimmer brush, wiggle eyes, and liquid glass to make these pages shine!

Throwback Thursday on Friday

So this week has been a little crazy on Davis Creek, the fall weather which is my favorite time of year also brings my least favorite thing…box elder bugs 🤢.  Needless to say I spent the day cleaning out window frames because living in the country they flock to the side of my house by the thousands.  After all that cleaning I decided to dig out pictures and attach them to a set of fall pages I did a few years ago, they are so cute.  I love using burlap for an accent because it adds texture and depth to the page!  I also love the little details like inking the edges of the leaves, gives that realistic fall look to flat paper!!

Out of the box Sunday

Well this card isn’t too far out of the box except I don’t often do cards, but this September stamp of the month is my new favorite greeting set!!  I used black soot, evergreen bough and antique linen distress oxide inks to create this beautiful backdrop.  The flowers came from a very old set called treasure life, which isn’t available obviously but any flower set would do!  I also realized how amazing our archival black ink is when using oxide inks!  My Intense black ink melted into by background, oops.

Feature Friday

This little tag was exactly the something extra I needed for this scrapbook layout, but it would be a perfect accent on a card too! Made with 1/2 of a stitched bracket, a chunk from the heart scallop from the fancy borders die set and a pocket from the new backpack gift card die.  These 3 pieces nest perfectly like they were meant to be.  I even added some stitches to the finished piece by running it through on the edge of the backpack die.

VIP’s!!! Here is an exclusive just for you!!

Friday feature!

Fridays are for featuring new ways to use products you probably already have.  I decided to try to get more out of my toys by finding alternative uses.  A creative lady recently told me if you need something for a project but don’t have it, it forces you to be creative.  That seems so true for this next hint.  I really wanted some arrows to compliment a scrapbook layout where almost everything had stitched dies, I thought I could use a punch then add the stitches with a gel pen but then this came to me, I first tried cutting the corners off of my square die but the arrows were to pointy.  That’s when I pulled out my star shaker die.  It works great, I temporarily adheared them to my mat then cut at 1/2” from the center on either side!

Throwback Thursday

Every Thursday I will try to post a set of pages that I previously have done, my personal goal is to put pictures on them and get them in an album and out of the “pages” pile!

Mini Album

This is a graduated mini album I created using the wander paper from last month’s catalog!  It could be an easy way to showcase a trip, a wedding, or a summer!  I had so much fun creating it! I have decided to do another for my summer pictures and I will give it away as a gift, which means I can do a tutorial for you! Watch for the tutorial soon!

Be Thankful, share it with others!
